Do You Have Purpose in Your Internet Marketing Business?
“Success in any endeavor does not happen by accident. Rather, it’s the result of deliberate decisions, conscious effort, and immense persistence… all directed at specific goals.” – Gary Ryan Blair, Author and Motivational Speaker![]()
I would like to add one more thing to Mr. Blair’s thoughts. One of the most important pieces of the puzzle is PURPOSE. What is your reason WHY? Why do most people fail in network marketing, home based business, or just accomplishing what they want in life in general?
I want to talk about what it takes to create gigantic success. I’m not talking about making a couple extra thousand a month, paying off some bills, saving up for a house, or even generating leads for your business. If you want those things you can save up, get a new job, move to another part of the country where there is more opportunity, or get some education. What I’m talking about is massive success.
What is the driving force behind the most successful people in the world. Based on being a student of success and knowing that “I do not know”, I’ve concluded that those people can be categorized into two groups. Those that are blessed with a brilliant mind, and those that are driven to find the answers.
Most people do not fall in the first category. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, the creators of youtube and google are obviously gifted with a brilliant mind. I’m not saying they didn’t have to work for it, but there is no question they are gifted.
I’m going to speak more so on the second category, the people with an overwhelming desire for success. I am definitely not gifted with brilliance, but I do have some experience on what it takes to accomplish anything you want attract into your life. The people that are driven by something bigger than themselves. What is success? Well that’s the point isn’t it? Success is personal. In the end it doesn’t matter what your neighbor does or anybody else for that matter. The problem is people tend to not know what they really want in life. They never take the time to design a magnificent life. You absolutely MUST have a driving force behind you to create and attract massive success in YOUR life. What is YOUR DRIVING FORCE?
If you study people that accomplished some grand things in life, you see that these people have a reason why. They live a purpose driven life, and that purpose tends to be bigger than themselves. I’m not here to judge if your goals are big enough. That is up to you to decide. I will say that if you want to accomplish something big, you need to first know what that is, write it down, and remind yourself everyday why you work so hard. If you are not driven by that one big purpose, you will eventually quit. It is easy to quit. It is easy to lie to yourself. It’s comfortable to be where we are.
From my own experience I can honestly say that I have lied to myself for years. I always wanted a certain lifestyle, the bills paid, a great relationship, and I would dream of things. I would study, read every success book ever written, listen to motivation on my tape player, CD player, or Ipod. (That’s how long I’ve been lying to myself). Learning, growing, and educating yourself is important. Really important and I still do it daily, but there comes a time to implement.
I have found those people that live a purpose driven life, are the people who create massive success in their lives. Something bigger than themselves. In the end it is up to you decide what lifestyle you want to live, what you want to do daily, and how you want to contribute to society. My purpose is COACHING. It is just in my DNA to pass on to people what I’ve learned. I do this online daily, but what really gets me going is coaching volleyball. That is my gift to pass on. I dream about how I can make the next practice better, and how our team can improve. More importantly of how a sport can be life lessons to young impressionable minds. That is just part of my major purpose. I have a bigger purpose in life that keeps me going online daily, but this is about YOU.
The important thing is what is YOUR purpose. If you have read this far you are seeker. You are searching for knowledge and truth. You are looking to grow daily. You are just like me. It is important to remember that “thoughts create things”. (Message from the secret)
So what does it take to accomplish massive success in your life? First you need to know what is you want. I’m not only talking about thinking about what you want. I’m talking about taking an accounting of your life. Every aspect in your life. YOU MUST WRITE IT DOWN.
It wasn’t until I actually followed the advice that I got from those who have “made it” in life that I started attracting what I consider an abundant life.
1) Take an accounting of everything, and I mean everything you want in life. All areas of your life.
- If you are currently in a relationship. What do you want in your relationship? This can be little scary, but trust me it’s worth it. You can only change the things that come to light.
- If you are not in a relationship. What would be the perfect mate? I’m talking looks, personality, what faults in your personality should they be able to tolerate, how are you going to grow together.
- What is the ideal family look like?
- What does contribution mean to you?
- What do you want for your spirit…your soul?
- What things do you want?
- What do you want to be doing daily starting from the time you wake up?
- What would you like to see your career or business to look like?
- What year do you want to retire?
- What does retirement look like?
These are just a few suggestions to get the brain going. I will tell you this. I have known that I had to do this for a long time. All the books say the same thing. The day I actually took an hour or so to design my life was the day I started attracting massive sucess into my life. Ask yourself this? Assuming you no longer needed a paycheck, would you quit doing what you are doing right now? If the answer is yes, that is probably not your purpose.
Designing your life and writing it down is only the first step. You have to know exactly what you want in life. It is also important to remind yourself of these things daily. If you think about what you don’t want, guess what you will get. You may think you know what you want. Without constantly reminding yourself, daily life gets in the way. There is negativity all around you. On the news, at your work, in your neighborhood. It is so easy to fall into that trap. “Thoughts create things.” It may sound hokey. I assure you it is NOT hokey. It is an absolute truth. Be careful what you think about.
The things I’ve talked about above is designing your life. To move to the next level, the level you would consider massive success, you absolutly MUST have a driving force of WHY you want those things.
What is your driving Force?
To your MASSIVELY Successful Life,
Nick Logan

2 Comments and Pings on Opportunity and Online Business. When Goals aren’t Enough
“I was born a ramblin man”… I travel quite a bit. I travel to AZ and Michigan and Illinois on a regular basis. My ultimate goal is to live in Michigan during the warm summer months and travel in my RV as the youngest snowbird on the planet. Traveling to warm climates with my laptop and good friends. Cheers. Thanks for asking
Tony Robbins talks often of how, if we want to be successful, we must have a clear picture of what success is to us. A VERY clear picture.
Many people achieve what outsiders believe to be success, and in their hearts they don’t feel successful. Why is this? This is because their reality still doesn’t line up with their subconscious picture… and that subconscious picture has never made it through to their conscious mind for consideration! First define what success means to you in finite measurable terms!
Then define your WHY. Define the strong, earth-moving, passionate, if it doens’t-happen-you’ll-cry, reason why success MUST happen. If it doesn’t move you that hard, it doesn’t count! Find what drives your heart and soul, and then success becomes inevitable!
