Great post - It so important to realize who your target readers are and put yourself in their shoes. You need to write things that are going to be relevant to that group

Hey Nick!

I read this post a few weeks ago and am reading it a second time now. Thinking back to where I was when I read this post the first time, it is amazing how much has changed in such a short amount of time.

Figuring out what my niche is seemed overwhelming when I read this the first time. It is amazing how it seemed to come to me as soon as I stopped trying so hard to define it. Really deep down inside we know what we enjoy doing and what we want to talk about. I guess for me I just had to stop worrying that what I picked wouldn't be the right niche or wouldn't make enough money.

Doing this really isn't about the money, it is about what you can do to help other people.

Thanks for being such a great leader!

This a great post Nick. I agree with you in that it is absolutely crucial to learn to put yourself in your reader's shoes. Once we master that, that fact that most people have crazy short attention spans becomes irrelevant. If you're able to create content your readers are truly interested in, you will be successful in holding their attention.
Once again, GREAT stuff!
Have a great one!
Dave

Hey Nick, very timely content for me personally. I am working on my blog as we speak. Your suggestion from Russell Bruson was especially helpful.

This is a great post Nick! I've been blogging for several months now and have just decided to focus much of my efforts on a more narrow niche, people who are unable to work traditional jobs due to illness or disabilities

I love the mentors that you speak of, and am also somewhat addicted to personal development (and junk food...but I'm working on that one!)

Your writing tips are great. You'd make "Mrs. Johnson" proud! And yes, one of the important things that many of us leave out is a call to action. Many people are happy to oblige your requests, but you have to let them know what they are.

Great job, look forward to more awesome info from you. Thanks!
