Blogging For Beginners… “Giving Away The Farm”

June 17th, 2010 by Nick Logan

Give Away The Farm
What is the Best Advice I can give in reference to Blogging for Beginners?
I was getting out of work today and I noticed one of my co-workers had a new T-Shirt on from our company. I immediately asked…”Where did you get that?”

He mentioned they are giving them away FREE in the lobby. It’s amazing how people jump at the chance to get FREE stuff.

Josh and "Bumpa"

Josh and "Bumpa.

I found myself digging through the boxes of FREE T-Shirts.  I grabbed a long sleeve T, and several short sleeve T’s including a size small for my nephew Josh.  That’s Josh with my dad before football practice.  No he doesn’t have black teeth.  That’s a mouthpiece.

It doesn’t matter how much money people make, they love free stuff.  Have you ever seen those mascots at basketball games shooting FREE T-Shirts out some sort of a gun?  People go nuts over a $3 Free T-shirt.  Free Samples at Costco, Free sandwich at the local deli when you fill out your punch card…it goes on and on… Continue Reading

Why all the buzz about Tribe Syndication and Blogging Alliances?

January 8th, 2010 by Nick Logan

There is no question there is a huge buzz around “Tribe Syndication” running rampant on the internet. Don’t believe me? Go To your Twitter account and search the hashtag for tribetuesday…You can search #tribetuesday. If you own a brick and mortar business, you are an online entrepreneur or, you are a work from home mom, you have to check out this video…

Meet Theresa Moss

I have been a network marketer for a couple of years. Before that I was just lost in the vast openess that is the internet, knowing there was tons of money being made, but having NO idea how to cash in.

Theresa Moss

Theresa Moss

I saw quickly the power of video and “branding” to be a major factor in me actually having an online business, as opposed to “having a downline” or some generic place in someone’s pyramid. This game wasn’t about gathering numbers of people, but building relationships, You Tube and My Space were the first places I saw People advertising their personalities instead of their products.

You Tube and My Space were very one sided, though, and while it made superstars of a few, it left anyone else who wasn’t “Star Quality” behind, and feeling alone with no one to talk to. Enter Facebook, twitter, linked in…

These were sites where communication was not just a one sided conversation. It seemed now, more people had a chance to network and get to know each other. Still, getting your message out there and having an optimal number of people see it was a challenge. The tribe concept has been a game equalizer. It is no longer necessary to be the one with the biggest advertising budget who gets to be seen. With the concept of small groups encouraging each other to be their best, and shining the spotlight on each other instead of ourselves, we have made it possible for even the most un-polished personality become a valued member of what can be a very competitive place.

I am here for the simple fact that, after 20 years of marraige and motherhood, I finally found something I can do not only for me, but for every other person who longs to be part of something bigger than themselves, and who wants to make a positive impact on other lives, whether it be on a very small scale, or something much, much, larger. The opportunities on the internet are endless, and we are really at the beginning of this phenomenon.

My journey has been slow, like so many others, but what’s crazy is that I keep picking up speed over time, and I am now “Comfortably Cruising” not only towards my goal of a 7 figure income, but also towards a lifestyle designthat I am proud of, knowing that I am in charge of my own future.

Not a boss or a government, but me. I get to decide what I am worth and what kind of life I want to live. In 2010, as my youngest goes to college, Those goals include traveling at will, spending time with friends and family that I always put off before because I was “too busy”, and continuing to grow my wealth and build new long-lasting relationships with people from all over the world. It is truly an exciting time to be alive!

Have a great day! Theresa Moss

The # 1 Secret To Explode Your Business, and Monetize Your Pa$$ion With a Blogging Alliance

What about Don?

Last year in November I began to explore all the avenues of social media marketing. I had a Facebook account and we had set up a Fan page for our business but that was about it. I got stated on Twitter and began to Blog. As I was getting used to Twitter I started following different people and a couple of the ones I followed were putting out some very useful and helpful tips that help me to learn and grow a little quicker. So, I paid closer attention to them and started to follow some of their followers and I noticed this common theme of Tribes kept coming up between them. In December I saw a Blog post for an upcoming webinar on Tribe Syndication and an opportunity to learn more. It was a free webinar so I checked it out.

What I found was a group of people (Tribe) that had a common interest in sharing valuable information to help each other grow and then they went out and promoted each other to all the friends and followers in order to spread the word. It was a group that was all about teaching you to be better at online social media marketing.

They were giving others the skills they acquired and passed it on. I jumped at the chance to get involved and learn from them. In a short few weeks I found myself in a Tribe. I was learning the ins and outs of Blogging, Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, Content Development and then Syndication. This one concept, Tribe Syndication has shortened my learning curve and sky rocketed my presence on social media. This is a concept that is beginning to catch on and is going to be Huge for me and my business in the next few months. I can only imagine what it will look like at the end of the year.

A few months ago I finally came to the realization that I was going to start a blog. I had put off this concept for over 3 years. Many people would tell me to “Just start one.” “You need a blog to get your message out there.” “There’s a lot of money to be made by blogging.” All good points but I had my doubts.

Could I create a blog and provide enough content to keep readers coming back? How often do I need to keep feeding this blog thing? Do I need a technical degree to set it up? And the biggest question we all face is… How do I get traffic? So many questions… but I finally took the plunge and got a blog started with the help of a few friends.

As I was looking around at many different blogs I realized that some were just empty. There was no life, no energy… no community. I knew that I would face the same issues. How to get traffic? So I figured that if I had these questions, others did as well.

So I reached out to several people and purposed a blogging alliance. I was looking to create a mastermind group of a few people who would comment on each others blog and “buzz” each others content. Social Tribes for content syndication was born.

It was not hard to find a few people who caught the vision and wanted to play ball. They are all over the social media sites. Most of them are busy promoting their own content. However there are a few who seem to be climbing the social sites faster than others.

These are the people I resonated with. For some reason winners attract winners. And that’s the people I wanted to hang around with… winners!

Since the initial conception of the blogging alliance I have seen several benefits come from this team dynamic. Benefits like; Real relationships, lots of exposure to your blog and website, content syndication, rapid learning curve and potential joint ventures. My vision and future is 1000′s of syndication circles all over the world at all times of the day and night.

We have all grown in our knowledge of social media and blogging and the best part… is it’s all free!

Make Money Blogging? What about Established Businesses?

January 8th, 2010 by Nick Logan

As I’m listening to Pandora Internet radio on my Iphone, I see an advertisement pop up under the song for “Gilbert Homes For Sale”. Gilbert is a local community near me. Big business is finally getting the hint that print media is dead. What does that mean for the work from home entrepreneur or even the local brick and mortar business owner?

(Bold headline)The Entrepreneur has more of a Mega-phone than ever before!

In my last blog post, (LINK What the hell is blogging?) I revealed that even though big business is struggling in this economy, the small brick and mortar business, as well as the stay at home entrepreneur, have more of a profitable megaphone than ever. We have more power at out fingertips than you can imagine. There are hundreds of ways to get any information we want at the click of a mouse, or push of a button. We have Iphones, Smart phones…We even have video game players that are hooked up to the internet.

Big Business has gotten the hint. They are now shifting their advertising budgets front failing print media to Social Media and Web 2.0 technologies. The problem is they still have the “put it in your face” mentality. The trick is to create RAVING FANS for your product or service. Customer service and the Go-Giver attitude are essential to a successful business. You have to go where people are searching.

The work from home mom and local chiropractor have more opportunities to let their voice be heard than ever before. BUT do they know it? Very few people are even taking advantage of Social Media Marketing, and if they are, they are doing it all wrong. The only way to get the attention of your viewer is one to be in the exact place they are searching, and two get their attention by providing high value content. Valuable training, valuable resources that they can actually use in their daily lives.

How To Have a Blog Stand Out

November 30th, 2009 by Nick Logan

imagesHow to have a top blog site

I’m so excited about my new toy.  As I’m writing this I’m listening to internet radio on my new Iphone.  I downloaded a free app. Pandora internet radio.  It’s like XM but it doesn’t suck.  heehee.  Pandora is free and you can search for your favorite artist.  It then streams related artists.  Did I mention it’s free.

Tip number one: How to enjoy yourself and make money blogging:  Rock out with your Iphone as you write…

I digress…

Content Creation Secrets…How to have a blog stand out?

shoesOne of the best ways to make your blog stand out is to put yourself in your readers shoes. Who is your reader?  What is your reader wanting to read?  What do they NEED to read?

Before you figure out who your reader is, you need to really define your niche?  You may not have a niche yet.  You might have a niche, but really need to define it and hone in on it.  What is your voice to the world?

I was listening to Brian Tracy the other day.  He was talking about how successful people are able to focus on the things that they don’t want to do, so they can enjoy the things that they do want to do.  I agree with that.  If you pick the right niche you can have your cake and eat it too.  If you want to make money blogging, it’s best to choose a niche that you enjoy speaking about.

What are you passionate about?

bloggingpassionWhat if most people are not all that interested in our passion?  One misconception in blogging is that you have to speak to the world.  Whoever told you that lied to you.

Let’s use dentistry as a topic.  I can tell you right now, that topic would bore the tears out of me.  BUT if that’s your niche, I’m not your reader.  I became close friends with several dental students when I lived in Denver.

Very cool people, but they loved talking about teeth.  On my last visit to my dentist, I couldn’t get him to stop talking about teeth.  This is your audience.  If you think dentistry topics are the end all be all, you can bet there are readers out there that are waiting for your blog posts.

What is your blog about?  What is your niche?  Who are you speaking to?

What do I talk about?

talkVisualize what will be under the umbrella of your blog. What are you passionate about? What do you love learning about?  Where do you excel?  What can you brand yourself as an expert in?

Make your blog a unique expression of YOU! Examples: Stay @ Home Mom and Entrepreneur, Financial Guru, The Health Expert, Nutrition, Real Estate, Acting, Sports, Technology and Entrepreneurship (iPhone), Doses of Inspiration, Relationship Marketing, Counseling Expert, Personal Growth, Dentistry etc…

Add value, enlightening, inspirational, educational, community building, entertaining

Where to Find Content?

“What am I learning?”  One of the most powerful things to write about is something you just learned.  This is not plagiarism.  It can be, if you just copy everything without giving credit.  Again make the content your own voice. Write it yourself or give credit and link it back to their post or book or webpage.

Share what you just learned and maybe what it means to you.  I personally am a growth and self improvement junky.  I learn from people like T. Harv Eker, Eben Pagan, Brian Tracy, Jim Rohn, Anthony Robbins, etc.  Eben Pagan talks about a 30 day success ritual.  I have several posts on this blog regarding that.

Life’s lessons.  You have more to offer than you know. Relationship Building Posts (community building): Quotes…It’s endless what you can offer your readers.

You can find content to share here: google.com/alerts, digg.com, PopURLs.com

Writing Concepts

I had a hard time writing until I learned HOW to write in 10th grade.  Mrs. Johnson made it pretty simple.  (That’s Terrible. I forgot my 10th grade teachers name, so I made it up)

She would always say…”Tell ‘em what you are going to tell them  (Intro)… Tell ‘em (Body)… and Tell ‘em what you just told ‘em (conclusion)

I got really good at this technique while writing my all of my college papers.  That’s a lie.  I got good only after begging my way back into college after getting kicked out.  LOL ;)   That’s a story for another time.

Another good technique I learned from Russell Brunson  (no I didn’t make that name up).  He recommends the “3 S’s”…Star, Story, and Solution

Who is the star of your story?  You need an attractive character.  It is a good idea to make YOU the attractive character sometimes, especially if the subject matter is educational.  Branding “You Inc.” is a very powerful strategy.  Maybe you have a story about something that happened to you or someone else.

Call to Action

You want a call to action with your posts.  A call to action builds up social proof on your blog.  You must direct them, and lead them to action.

A call to action  can be asking the reader to comment, retweet your post, or visit a link to a capture page or webinar.  Use your imagination.   “Comment or share my post…”

The content creation secrets I’ve been sharing are extremely important if you want to make money blogging.  Not only that having great content is a great way to have your blog standout.

One of my favorite calls to action is using Viral Tweets

With that being said…If you found this post informative please tweet with the Viral Tweets box below.

The Problem with Online Home Based Business

October 15th, 2009 by Nick Logan

Plan For Problems and Find Solutions

If you want to attract success in any home based business, MLM opportunity, network marketing, or business in general, it is essential you learn how to confront problems head on. Most home based business presentations paint the rosiest of portraits.
All you have to do is recruit two people and you become rich right. You’ve seen it.
I’m going to share with you exactly what to expect in any home based business adventure and how to become a top representative in your business ventures.

Opportunity Is Dressed in Overalls

I am a helicopter pilot by trade and online marketer by profession. As a pilot I’ve been trained to account for every possible emergency, every possible malfunction that can possibly occur. A helicopter is machine. Even though it is highly maintained, things can go wrong. I have to be prepared for every possible scenario. Did you know that a helicopter can actually land safely when and if the engine fails. A helicopter has the ability to “auto-rotate”. This only occurs if the pilot does everything right from the onset of an engine failure. I have done thousands of auto-rotations in my training. I have never had one in real life.  Knock on wood.  But if that day ever comes I am CONFIDENT my passengers and I will walk away to watch another sunset.

As an online professional I have failed miserably for years until I became and entrepreneur and found the solutions to become a top income earner in multiple companies. All the SOLUTIONS ARE AVAILABLE ON THIS BLOG. Solutions that you can use to become a top income earner and top leader in your company. I encourage you to look at the marketing resources available and Make a ton of money from home with problem solving.

You might be tempted to stop reading here. You might be thinking why waste your time. This guy is a downer. On the contrary. I’ve been through it all. I have spent years doing things wrong, having very limited success, and banging my head against the wall. That is until I learned how to become an entrepreneur vs. an opportunity seeker.

How to Become a Top 3% Money Earner in Your Company

Industry statistics show that only 3% go onto have success in the arena of network marketing and MLM. I never really cared about that statistic. I always expected to find the solutions and the strategies to become a top 3% money earner. What do the top 3% do that the rest don’t?

I would like to suggest that you become an entrepreneur vs. an opportunity seeker. An entrepreneur is not a representative of any particular network marketing company. They may use a network marketing company or a home based business opportunity to leverage their success, but it doesn’t stop their. An entrepreneur is a representative of his or her family and self first. An entrepreneur finds solutions to problems. An opportunity seeker buys the hype and expects to get rich for little to no effort. Finding solutions to problems will attract a massive amount of wealth into your life.

Problems Go With The Territory

“Little people solve little problems or no problems at all. The most successful and confident people in every area are those who have effectively dealt with the greatest number of problems, large and small, in their fields.”

– Brian Tracy in Flight Plan. The Real Secret of Success

As a successful entrepreneur it is vital to expect problems, difficulties, failure, and disappointment. As a leader in your business it is important to share this with your business partners. Educate their expectations. Brian Tracy says “take a deep breath, relax and say ‘Solving problems is my job; problems are what I do.” Solving problems has it’s own rewards. Fail is not a four letter word. It is temporary. The more times you pick yourself up and charge forward the more confidence you will gain. In the arena of network marketing, people are looking for leaders who can help them solve their problems. Mainly lack of money, resources, and know how. You help solve those problems for people, and you will have people calling you out of the blue to join your business.

If you would like to be learn the skills that attract people to you and your business like “flies on honey” check out the marketing tab on this blog. These are the tools I use daily to be a top leader, and top producer in multiple companies. Some of the resources are free and some I have invested in to grow my business.

Back to the Problem at hand. How to Make Money From Home With Problem Solving

We have already talked about educating your teams expectations. Expecting problems, temporary failures and set backs. How do we get beyond the problem and become the leader people are looking for. More importantly how do we become a top 3% money earner. When faced with a problem, control your response to that problem. Most people react with anger or blame the problem on circumstance or other people. You are not most people. You as an entrepreneur find solutions.

“If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful piece of advice for all humanity it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life and when it comes, hold your head high, look it squarely in the eye and say ‘I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.’” — Ann Landers

Reacting calmly without reaction to the inevitable set back, will set you apart from the heard. One way to combat this is to change how you think and look at so called “problems”. Brian Tracy recommends looking at problems in a few different ways. Instead of using the word “problem”, you could use “situation”. What if you looked at it as a “challenge”. A challenge is something to rise to. Even better what if you looked at a problem as an “opportunity”? How empowering is that?

“Every adversity, every failure, every heartache carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”

– Napoleon Hill

I am a helicopter pilot by trade and online marketer by profession. As a pilot I’ve been trained to account for every possible emergency, every possible malfunction that can possibly occur. Attraction Marketing on the internet is one of the most powerful and free ways to advertise your small business.   When it comes to purchasing power, people have more choices today than ever before.  Television used to have a captured audience.  Now with DVR and Tevo, people can watch whatever and whenever they want, and that includes skipping commercials.  What about all the noise on the internet?  Pop up ads, spam, banner ads, articles, forums, blogs, etc.  People are getting really good at tuning all this noise out.
