I totally get this concept and in fact it was this very thing that sent me on my journey into the world of home business/self employment. I spent the better share of my adult life trading time for dollars and sacrificing being able to do the things I wanted to do, in order to earn a good income. NOT a very good lifestyle. I want to earn that same income (more actually) AND own my time as well to do the things in life I choose. Great job of explaining absolute and relative income. I completely agree with Kary that it is very important to start off by getting the knowledge that you need to get started. I think there are two crucial things that you have to do after that.
