Whether you in the “Blogging For Beginners” category, or you have been been blogging for a while and consider yourself somewhat of an expert blogger…I have a question for you.
Do you have a subscription form, or opt-in box on your blog? Do you have a marketing funnel or auto-responder series built in with at least 3 weeks worth of valuable content? (6 months would be even better)
The Money is in the Follow Up
Why should you have an opt in box?
You worked hard to get a visitor to your blog. If you are writing valuable content on your blog, there is no reason why the reader wouldn’t want to come back everyday and see what else you can provide for them.
It is your OBLIGATION to make it easy for the reader to come back again and again to get the incredible value that you have to offer on your blog.
If you are not providing value to your readers, why do you have a blog? To make money? Well money is good and essential to do the things you want to do on a daily basis, but it should not be the primary reason why you are blogging.
“What did he just say?”… Well let me rephrase that… Continue Reading

Give Away The Farm What is the Best Advice I can give in reference to Blogging for Beginners?
I was getting out of work today and I noticed one of my co-workers had a new T-Shirt on from our company. I immediately asked…”Where did you get that?”
He mentioned they are giving them away FREE in the lobby. It’s amazing how people jump at the chance to get FREE stuff.
Josh and "Bumpa.
I found myself digging through the boxes of FREE T-Shirts. I grabbed a long sleeve T, and several short sleeve T’s including a size small for my nephew Josh. That’s Josh with my dad before football practice. No he doesn’t have black teeth. That’s a mouthpiece.
It doesn’t matter how much money people make, they love free stuff. Have you ever seen those mascots at basketball games shooting FREE T-Shirts out some sort of a gun? People go nuts over a $3 Free T-shirt. Free Samples at Costco, Free sandwich at the local deli when you fill out your punch card…it goes on and on… Continue Reading

This weekend I was asked to help out with a friends CNA graduation project. My friend just completed a Certified Nursing Assistant Program, and the class wanted to do a video for their graduation. Since I have some video skills, I was asked to participate and help out with the project. To be perfectly honest, participating in nursing home activities, is a little out of my comfort zone.
I am a big proponent of stretching outside of our comfort level, so I knew I had to “Put my money where my mouth is.” In the end I really enjoyed the day, and my GIVE BACK turned into a rewarding GIFT TO MYSELF…Be sure to watch the video at the end. It ties this whole story all together. Very Powerful!
Happy Mothers Day To all you mom’s out there. I was shopping for some Mothers Day Cards today for my grandmother and my mom today and I thought of a post by The Mentor Mama, called “Who’s Your Mama?”
It is a fun post that allows you to give a shout out to your mom. Great community building post. I highly recommend you check it out, especially since Mothers Day is right around the corner. Nancy Burke Barr’s blog is titled “I should have Listened To My Mother.”
I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy at the Empowered Tribe Live Event in March of this year. She is a firecracker. It is my highest recommendation to get to know Nancy and Poke around her Blog
She has a wealth of value to give. Here is a little snippet form her “About This Blog” Page.
“Most people have had some sort of mother-figure in their lives. And while that “mother” may have been annoying, dysfunctional or even flat-out crazy, she/he was often maddeningly right. Now, as a grown woman, finally able to acknowledge my own ineptitude, I reflect on my self-righteous youth and realize that in many cases, I Should Have Listened To My Mother!
That having been said, it begs the question, “Is it too late?”

I wanted to feature a post by Danielle Zack. Danielle is a member of my tribe and shares some extremely valuable information. It is very easy to go to a social media sight and set up an account. How many social media sites do you have? Setting up a social media account only takes a few minutes, but you want to make sure you do it properly. Danielle shares with you how to set up and EFFECTIVE social media account.
“If you want to be effective in social media, then you have to have an effective profile that tells people who you are, why you’re here and what benefits they will get from connecting with you. Your profile is, in effect, your business introduction or brochure. They say first impressions are everything, you want to get yours right.” –Danielle Zack

Those that truly know you can put things in perspective, sometimes better than you can. Do you have anyone in your life that can see your life from above the trees from a helicopter view? Do ever have those times when you are traveling through the forest and just can’t quite get the perspective to get out of the forest?
Is it Time To Seek Out That One Friend?
Who is that person in YOUR life? What influence and IMPACT have they made on your life. I’m looking forward to your comments!

75% considered themselves advanced to intermediate marketers with their online marketing company.
75% had been online marketing for over 2 years
And even after 2 years of marketing, most were earning less than $1000 per month
Something is wrong with this picture. Those people surveyed are obviously highly skilled and underpaid. I can relate to those statistics. Can you? We have the idea that the internet is so huge, just throw something out there and something will stick. I’ve found that it takes a strategic plan of attack to succeed with your online marketing company.
Are You Treating Your Business Like a Business?
Empowered Tribe San Diego
I gave a presentation on Product Creation a few weeks back in San Diego. In the introduction I asked the audience, “who is NOT in a network marketing company?” A few people raised their hands. I mentioned that it is possible that they have an advantage when it comes to the concepts revealed from the Empowered Tribe Live Event
Why do they have an advantage over the other attendees who are marketing MLM? Sometimes in the network marketing world we have blinders on. There is absolutely nothing wrong with network marketing. I happen to receive a nice residual income from 3 different companies. BUT…
What do I mean by network marketers tend to have their blinders on? Well, sometimes we make our the company we represent our identity. Your company is YOU, Inc. not your network marketing company. You are the product and you are the service that people will come to IF you have the knowledge and skills to make THEM successful in THEIR business.
Network Marketing is not the only game in town. In fact it seems that everyone is associated with at least one company or another. Nothing wrong with that. But there are so many more profitable niches out there to take advantage of.
Are We Fishing in the Right Pond?
If you are reading this, I can safely assume you have some sort of online marketing knowledge and probably a great bit of skill. Are you a statistic? Plenty of skills without the bank account to reflect those skills? I can empathize with that as I was in the exact same position until I started branching out and applying the knowledge and skills of the past years of online marketing experience, to other niches.
The Law of Compensation
While watching the Main Street Marketing Video from the creator of Traffic Geyser, Mike Koenigs, I was reminded of an idea I had a few years ago. If only I could take my online marketing knowledge and skills and take that to Brick and Mortar businesses who so desperately need it, I would be onto something.
What Kind of IMPACT Could You Have?
I was reminded that only 1 in 38 internet marketers is tapping into that wide open niche.
50% of America’s Economy is supported by Small Business.
46% of small business owners do not have a website
60% of small business are spending the same amount on advertising as they did in 2008
26% plan to spend more
69% want to spend it on ONLINE MARKETING
The bottom line is, main street business is grossly under-served in the online marketing arena. Small business owners are a different breed. They spend most of their time and education on building a business and have very little knowledge or ability to market that business. Most of their business is coming from word of mouth, walk ins, and outdated marketing avenues like the yellow pages. They know that they need the internet but most are confused as to how to get their business out to local community through the internet. That’s where you and I come in. When you can find a need in the market place…FILL THAT NEED.
So what is the Problem?
Even though I had this great idea and had some skills to consult with Brick and Mortar and small business, how do you get in front of them to make and IMPACT on their world? Mike Koenigs video really brought this home to me. Check it out. It makes sense to me.
How are you tapping into this niche, or how do you plan on tapping into this niche? I’m looking forward to your comments.

You see advertisements, blog posts, and twitter messages, of people claiming that they are making money on the internet. How do you know what to believe?
One clue is how often you see someone out there in the internet world. I want to share with you a story of a Teacher from Oregon who really is “Doing the Do.” If you do a google search for “Kary Rogney“, not only will you see him all over the internet, but you will see a man who provides a ton of value of exactly what it takes for YOU to have success online.
